Telyra for iOS

Privacy policy

Telyra is a native client for compatible Hermes and OpenClaw infrastructure that you choose. The private Nicolette Companion flavor uses the same client foundation. The app developer does not provide a Gateway or model service as part of the app and does not receive your messages, files, credentials, audio, photos, or conversation history merely because you use the app.

Destinations and data you choose to send

Telyra connects directly to the server or Gateway you configure. Depending on that destination's advertised capabilities and the feature you use, a request can include message text, conversation context, a voice transcript, a photo or file you selected, attachment metadata, basic client details such as app version, platform and locale, and an installation-specific OpenClaw public device identity and request signature. Authentication credentials are sent only to the configured destination that issued or accepts them.

A configured Gateway may forward content to external AI, speech, model, storage, or other providers selected by its operator. The Gateway operator and those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Telyra cannot inspect or control their retention. Connect only to infrastructure you operate or are authorized to use, and review its provider configuration before sending sensitive content.

Consent and permissions

OpenClaw connections require destination-specific consent before message transmission. A destination or material disclosure change requires fresh consent. Camera, photo, file, microphone, speech-recognition, local-network, and CarPlay access are used only when the related feature is available, you activate it, and iOS grants permission. Telyra does not browse your photo library, record audio, or transmit shared content in the background without the corresponding user action.

Voice processing

Voice is off by default in Telyra. When you explicitly activate voice, microphone audio is captured for the active voice turn. Speech recognition may use Apple's Speech service when on-device recognition is unavailable. If you select a compatible server or direct speech provider, audio or text needed for transcription or readback is sent to the endpoint you configured. The resulting transcript is sent as a message to your configured Gateway. Captured turn audio is held in memory for processing and is discarded by the app when the turn or voice session ends; the receiving services control their own copies and retention.

Data stored on your device

• Server addresses, bearer credentials, voice-provider settings and credentials, and OpenClaw device credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain using a device-only accessibility class.
• Consent records and interface preferences are stored locally in app preferences.
• For stock Hermes connections that do not provide server-side sessions, Telyra stores session titles and message history in the app's Application Support directory so conversations can continue between launches.
• Items submitted through the Share extension can be staged in the protected shared app container while delivery is pending. Terminal delivery records expire after 24 hours and are removed when cleanup next runs; recoverable pending work remains until it completes, is cancelled, or the app is deleted.

Telyra does not synchronize these local stores through an app-operated cloud service. Removing a credential or forgetting an OpenClaw Gateway clears the corresponding Keychain records. Deleting the app removes its app-container data, including locally owned stock-Hermes history. Data already received by a Gateway or provider must be deleted through that service's operator.

Local network discovery

With your permission, Telyra can browse the local network for compatible OpenClaw Gateways advertised through Bonjour. Discovery does not connect to or save a Gateway automatically; you must select a result before its endpoint is stored.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The app contains no advertising SDK, cross-app tracking, third-party marketing analytics, or developer-operated crash-reporting service. The app developer does not sell personal data. Network services used by your chosen Gateway or voice provider are outside the app developer's control.

Your controls

You can keep voice off, deny permissions, revoke OpenClaw transmission consent, disconnect, forget a Gateway, remove stored OpenClaw credentials and device identity, clear a bearer credential, and cancel supported pending shares. See Telyra support for instructions. Contact the operator of your configured infrastructure to access or delete data held there.

Children

Telyra is not directed to children under 13. Gateway operators are responsible for the content, services, model providers, and age requirements they make available through their infrastructure.

Changes and contact

Material changes will update the effective date on this page. Telyra uses versioned OpenClaw disclosures and requires renewed consent when its transmission disclosure changes materially.
